Could Low Testosterone or a Hormone Imbalance Be Affecting You?
Men often notice the symptoms before they know what’s causing them. Testosterone is only one piece of the picture.
Low energy
Reduced sex drive
Erectile changes
Loss of strength or muscle
Increased abdominal fat
Poor exercise recovery
Brain fog/difficulty concentrating
Changes in mood or sleep
These symptoms can have many causes. That’s why we evaluate the whole picture before recommending treatment.
What We Evaluate Before Recommending Treatment
A testosterone level alone doesn’t tell the whole story. We look at the hormonal, metabolic, lifestyle, and fertility factors that can influence how you feel.
Hormones
Total & free testosterone
SHBG, LH, FSH
Estradiol & prolactin
Overall Health
CBC & thyroid
Metabolic & lipid markers
PSA
Context That Matters
Fertility goals
Sleep & medications
Symptoms, training & overall health
The goal is not simply to raise a number. It’s to understand why you feel the way you do and choose the right next step.
Treatment Should Fit the Diagnosis — Not the Other Way Around
Depending on your labs, symptoms, health history and fertility goals, your plan may include testosterone therapy, fertility-preserving options, lifestyle and metabolic optimization, or no hormone medication at all.
Testosterone therapy — injectable, topical, or oral options are all available.
Fertility-preserving approaches — including HCG or enclomiphene in selected patients.
Metabolic and lifestyle optimization — sleep, nutrition, training, and body composition.
No hormone treatment — when another issue better explains the symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions About Testosterone & Hormone Care
-
Symptoms matter, but a diagnosis should not be based on symptoms alone. We look at your history, total and free testosterone, SHBG, LH, FSH, estradiol, and other relevant labs to understand whether low testosterone is truly part of the problem.
-
No. Treatment depends on your symptoms, lab results, health history, fertility goals, and what may be causing the low level. Some men benefit from testosterone therapy, while others may be better served by addressing sleep, metabolic health, medications, fertility-related issues, or other contributors first.
-
When testosterone therapy is appropriate, options may include injectable, topical, or oral testosterone. The best choice depends on your preferences, goals, response to treatment, cost, and clinical considerations.
-
Often, yes. Testosterone therapy can suppress sperm production, so fertility goals should be discussed before treatment. Depending on the situation, options such as hCG mono-therapy, NCH + TRT, or enclomiphene may be considered.
-
Injection frequency should be individualized. Many men do better with smaller, more frequent doses rather than large doses given far apart. Dosing should be based on symptoms, labs, tolerance, and treatment goals.
-
No. Aromatase inhibitors are not automatically required with testosterone therapy and are very rarely needed. Estradiol plays important roles in men, so treatment should be individualized rather than based on a routine protocol. Estradiol management can often be optimized via protocol, route, and other lifestyle options.
-
That depends on your treatment and health history. Patients on testosterone typically need periodic monitoring of testosterone levels, blood counts, and other relevant markers. Routine follow-up labs are included in the TRT Optimization Membership.
-
You do not necessarily need to stop treatment. We can review your current regimen, recent labs, symptoms, and goals and determine whether any changes are appropriate. We routinely see patients from other clinics for formal second opinions.
-
Not always. If your existing labs are recent and include the information needed to make a safe clinical decision, you may be able to move directly to a physician consultation.
-
Yes, Fit & Fine Health is virtual-first. Availability depends on the state where you are located, your clinical situation, and whether an in-person evaluation is required.
